What is a DIRECTV System?
A DIRECTV System includes all equipment necessary for you to receive DIRECTV programming. This includes a satellite dish, a digital receiver and a remote control. Every receiver gives you access to over 215 channels, an on-screen programming guide, and parental ?Locks and Limits.?
Most DIRECTV programming packages include local channels. Local channels are available in markets that can receive signals from our primary orbit location of 101 degrees West Longitude. DIRECTV uses our satellites to deliver local channels to some cities, high definition television and our DIRECTV PARA TODOS Spanish-language services. The 18x24 inch dish that comes with every DIRECTV system is designed to receive signals from all of our current satellite locations.
